Custom Designs Step by Step:

Whether you’re working with an existing piece of jewelry or we’re starting from scratch, here is the basic time line for creating a new and unique design of your very own.

Step 1.

Initial Meeting: Make and appointment to come in and meet with Scott to discuss your thoughts and ideas. You haven’t come up with any ideas yet? Not a problem. Come in and discuss what kind of jewelry you like, we’ll take it from there.

Step 2.

The Rendering Process. This is the fun part. Once we have an idea of what it is you want to do with your item, we can create a rendering (hand drawn or computer generated) of what your item will look like!

Step 3.

Your Approval. Take a moment to look over the design. Is it just what you’d imagined? Give us the go ahead so we can get started on creating your custom piece.

Step 4.

Metal Smith. Here is where the magic happens. During this phase of the process, your piece of jewelry is being created.

Step 5.

Love it. Display your gorgeous new piece of art to all of your friends and family.

Here is one of our latest custom pieces. One of our guests had an old engagement ring she wanted to redesign into a more eclectic every day piece of jewelry. She wanted a wide band and an asymmetrical design. The first images are a computer rendition of the design followed by photographs of the actual ring for our customer.

These cufflinks were custom designed for one of our customers who owns this special one of a kind car. The cufflinks are an exact replica of the wheel on the car. The front of the cufflinks portray the front part of the wheel while the back part of the cufflinks are the backside of the wheel. Now this customer can take a piece of his car with him at all times.

This is one of our favorite designs. One of our customers wanted to create something special for his wife. He wrote out "I love you" on a sheet of paper and we created a platinum and diamond necklace in his handwriting for his wife.

This client wanted a pair of earrings to coordinate with a necklace and bracelet. Our in-house designer drew the design which was then approved by the customer and the earrings were created. The process only took 39 days start to finish.

When her children outgrew their favorite play toys, this mother found a creative way to let them keep their old friends close to their hearts. We took several photos of the plush animals and created a mold of each for approval. Then each stuffed animal was turned into a detailed miniature gold charm.

Before and After: Meet with our design team to update your old jewelry. This Emerald and diamond ring set in yellow gold was a little dated for our client's taste. After a few meetings with Scott, the ring was redesigned into a more modern piece.

Platinum cufflinks with tanzanite.

This customer loves the thistle flower from Scotland. We designed this special one of a kind brooch with amethysts, tsavorite garnets, emeralds and yellow gold so this customer can always have a thisle flower with her.

Tahitian Baroque pearls strung with a pavé diamond clasp that we custom made to match the unique shape of the pearls.
