The Canadian Government of the Northwest Territories
Diamond Certification Program is the only one of its kind. Never
before has a government certification program been implemented
to monitor the provenance and quality of indigineous diamonds.
Be sure that your diamond certificate is stamped with the official
GNWT polar bear seal. Beware of imitations. Only the Canadian
Government Certificate bears the seal, shown on the lower right
corner of the certificate.
Tundra Diamonds are carefully tracked to assure provenance and
inspected to meet the highest standards of cut and polish. When
the finished gem has successfully completed an exhaustive battery
of quality assurance tests, it is Gemprinted and the registration
number is laser inscribed onto its girdle.
Finally, before the diamond is allowed to leave Canada, it is
thoroughly documented in an NWTG diamond database, and is confidentially
registered in the international Gemprint database. Tundra Diamonds
are then sent to the AGS or GIA to receive a complete grading
report.
Government and industry leaders believe these newly discovered
sources of diamonds from the Arctic Tundra will make the Northwest
Territories the third largest world producer of diamonds in
the next few years. They have wisely decided to proactively
manage qualilty and environmental aspects of production to maintain
very high standards now and into the future. |
